Mummified remains identified as Egyptian Queen Nefertari

A team of archaeologists believe that a pair of mummified legs that are on display at an Italian museum may belong to Egyptian Queen Nefertari. The researchers used radiocarbon dating, anthropology, genetics, chemical analysis, and paleopathology to draw their conclusions. Queen Nefertari was thought to be the favorite wife of Ramses II. Her decorated tomb was initially excavated by Italian archaeologists in 1904.
